The weather kept down the fans and because of this the wrestlers didnt want to put on the show. The Brigham City Junior Chamber of Commerce sponsors the matches. state high school wrestling tournament, February 18 and 19, at Davis high school. The Box Elder team hasnt been determined In all weights as yet, but Gordon expects a full team to qualify by tournament time. To qualify for the tournament, a wrestler must have won at least one match in a dual meet. Bix Elder has men already qualified in all but two weights. Logan moved up to North Cache and had the same trouble in the North Cache gym that other schools have, but managed to pull a win out of the fire by a 29 to 27 score. Golden Gloves CCTEPminCO .CD will have two senior division contenders and five, possibly six, junior division boxers in the Utah Golden Gloves tournament, which is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, February 7 and 8, and Tuesday evening, February 15, at the Ogden high school gym. Varge Lowe in the class and Gene Walker, 126, will be the senior division contenders. Scheduled for competition in junior division classes are Lloyd Whitaker, 112; Tom Ishida, 118; Jim Craner, who is trying to make 126 pounds, but will enter, along with Jerry Nelson, in the class if he cant; Brad Hansen, 147, and possibly Odell Hatch in the class, although he has been training only a short time and may concentrate on wrestling instead. The boys will weigh in Sunday afternoon, and the first round of fights will begin Monday evening. The bouts at Ogden high will start at 8 oclock each evening. Gene Walker won the senior' division title last year, and represented Utah in both the Denver and Chicago tournaments. He is favored for an even more successful repeat performance this year.
