There is a sour note on the Magna game. This will be the first meeting of these two teams since Pete Radulovich switches horses and took over the reigns of the Millmen. Local fans will be interested in seeing what Pete has doped out to throw at his and both Pete and Occip want very much to win this game. Another blow to the . local's hopes came when Grant Cuill-morsigned to play with the Salt Lake Bees in the Pioneer league. In spite of this blpw,. it also takes the place. of a feather in the caps of. the Peaches management. The idea of the leaders 'of the- Brigham City club is to develop players and if they develop them to a point where they can go on up, they have accomplished one of their important aims. So with the latter overshadowing the loss, Grant ' moves with best wishes for his success. Attempts are still being made to, 'replace Pete Radulovich and Grant Cullimore, but there have been no new contracts signed ' yet. There is one thing for certain, tonight and every Wednesday night is baseball night in Brig' ham City. . , Ogden Saturday Bud Powers, Brigham Citys baseball representative of a few years back, turned back the Ogden Reds 9 to 4 for his first professional victory since joining the Pocatello Cards, members of the Pioneer league. The Brigham leftie recorded his first win his second time out. In his first start since turning professional, he was forced to leave the game when he was hit in the shoulder by a pitched ball. On this second chance Bud came through with plenty of stuff in the clutches, and although he had to have help in the final inning, received credit for the win. The Ogden team nicked Bud for a total of 14 hits in the game, but couldn't bunch them off the leftie as Bud bore down. Ogden scored one in their half of the second, a brace of runs in the seventh and one in the last inning. The Pocatello Cards, who are leading the Pioneer loop, handed Bud the run that knotted the count in the third, added another in the fifth and Iced the game with a five-ruoutburst in the top half of the sixth. Buds win, ended the series with the Cards sweeping all . three games. 84,990 The members of the Brigham City Golf and Country club have come to a parting of the ways, as they at least temporarily have been split into Red and Blue teams for a club tourna- ment.
