According to First Sergeant Wardrop enlistees can be assigned direct to the Second army band, whether or not they have ever had military training, as facilities are available at Ft. Mason to give basic training. Wardrop stated that the Second army band welcomes applicants who can play any type of musical instrument. Those interested are advised to contact Sgt. Wardrop at the army and air force recruiting office, Postoffice building, Brigham City, or at the Utah Power and Light company building in Tremonton. His office hours in Brigham City are from 8 through 6 oclock each Tuesday and Saturday, and he will be at the Utah Power and Light building in Tremonton from 9 through 4:30 oclock each Wednesday.
