Primary Union Meeting Wednesday Evening Is Held For North Stake J A very successful union meeting was held Wednesday evening in the Fourth ward amusement hall by North Box Elder stake primary workers. After the opening exercises in the chapel a progressive Christmas party was enjoyed in the amusement hall. Guests were divided into groups for a succession of games. Later all gathered in a circle around the beautiful Christmas tree to sing carols and welcome Santa Claur w'no came dancing in with treats and goodies for all. I. A. plays host to membeis of the Third, Fourth, Seventh and Eighth wards. The dance will be held in the Armory building and will begin at 8.30 p. m. An outstanding floor show has been planned. Mrs. Lola Nielsen heads the reception committee, and special decorating of the hall will be done by a commitrt-under the direction of Mrs Hazel Refreshments will be served by a committee headed by Mrs. Perdette Farmer. Mrs. Harold Poulson, asisted by Miss Shirley Waid, has been in charge of publicity. Music will be furnished by a favorite orchestra and a good time is promised to all those attending. Ward activity cards will be honored at the door. Mrs. Evelyn Matthews is general chairman for the evenings en- tertained at a birthday dinner party honoring Mrs. Mattie Berg. Wednesday evening, November 19. Mrs. Beig was celebrating her 76th birthday anni versary. Upon arrival the guests were seated at a long colorfully decorated table carried out in the motif. Orange Thanksgiving candles inserted in pumpkin candle-holderlighted the ta ble and a huge birthday cake bearing 76 candles formed the centerpiece. Miniature Indians dressed in yellow, green and red were used as place-card- s A dinner was served consisting of roasi turkey and dressing, cranberry salad, che and macaroni salad, stuffed celery and olives, open-facsandwiches, root beer, and ice cream and cake. Before the cake was cut. the 76 candles were lighted and a picture was taken of the group. Mrs. Berg made the wish that all of her friends could have an equally nice birthday on their 76th anniversary as she had. After dinner, the evening was and spent playing bingo black cloud. Prizes went to Mrs. Earl Madsen and Jesse W. Hoopes. Connie Peters and Mr. and Mrs. Perc Petersen entertained wdth musical numbers. Two records were made for Mrs. Berg; everyone present sang Happy Birthday and then each of the guests expressed themselves on the records. The guests included Mrs. Cleo Madsen, Mrs. Connie Peters, Miss Eliza Madsen, Mrs. Amelia Welling, Mrs. Leah Reeder, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Madsen, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse W. Hoopes. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Barnard, Mr. ana Mr$. James Jensen, the host and hostess Mr. and Mrs. Perc Petersen, and the honored guest, Mrs. Berg. Mrs. Berg received many lovely gifts. Harold and Gene Hess Bouck are the parents of a baby girl born Wednesday morning, November 19, at the Cooley Memorial hospital. This is the Boucks first child. Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Hess of this city are the left Thursday morning for Phoenix, Ariz., where they plan to spend the winter, retuining to Brigham City about April. They are making the trip by automobile. Mrs. Stayner was reported as "feeling better. The Stayners address in Phoenix will be 1312 maternal grandparents. The East Bellview, Phoenix, Ariz. parents reside in Brigham City.
