In the state 1,092 turkey farmers produced 1,540,370 turkeys for an average price of $6.40 per bird or per farmer. This year Utah will market around 1,200,000 turkeys. In the 11 Western states 399,400 farms out of 494,400 are electrified. 61 percent of all U. S. farms now have power and light. In Utah 20.965 out of 26,322 farms are being served for an average of 79 percent. 203 new units were added in Utah during the past year.
