In addition to the training associated with the arm or service, the airborne recruit will receive training either in parachute duty or glider flight. Enlisted men on glider flight status draw extra pay equal to 50 percent of their pay but not to exceed $50 per month glider pay. Enlisted men on parachute duty draw an extra $50 per month. The extra pay is recoverable during the period of airborne training specialized and thereafter as long as the glider flight or parachute duty status is maintained.
