Play Well Received Those who witnessed the Play-botheater group's presentation of "The Very Idea" on the Roxy Theaters stage last night were more than pleased with the interpretation given this particular Avery Hcpwood farce. The play, built on rather an idea, deals with the experience of thcGoodhues Gilbert and Edith who consider adopting a baby, and ate s by an eugenics professor to try a scientific experiment, obtaining a child of which his eugemcally perfect chauffeur and their dutiful maid agree to be the parents. Of course the plan does not work out as planned, resulting in a web of funny complications that kept the audience in good humor throughout. The part of Gilbert Goodhue, the lisping, none too brilliant husband, was excellently portrayed by Jay Lees, and his wife Edith was convincing in the hands of Miss Pauline Strong. Keene Curtis, as the eugenics professor, handled that characterization very rapably. The same can be said of Robert J Ketchum as "the perfect speci-man- " chauffeur chosen to be the father of the child and Florence Norberg as the maid, who reluctantly consented to the experiment for $15,000.00 "in the Others in interest of science. the cast who carried their parts intelligently and gracefully were Bain Kittle, Patricia Packard. Florence Gates, Elaine Thorpe and little Richard Hadficlu of Brigham City. Robert Hyde Wilson directed the production and brought a number of his staff members with him. including lady ushers. The local Business & Professional Women's Club are to be on sponsoring congiatulated such high class entertainment. Had they known a week ahead that the players could come to Brigham City w.th this rollicking comedy, no doubt the theatre would have been completely tilled.
