Show WEEKLY REFLEX-DAV- IS NEWS JOURNAL, JULY 8, 1976 Montgomery Rites Funeral services were held recently in the Clearfield 5th Ward Chapel for Beth F. Montgomery. MRS. Beth Fowers Montgomery, 51, of 251 S. 600 E. in Clearfield died last Saturday at her home of a heart attack. Mrs. Montgomery was bom July 14, 1924, in Hooper, a daughter of Paul and Fern Belnap Fowers. MARRIED SHE Faunt E. Montgomery on May 28, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Montgomery lived in Hooper until 1943 when she moved to West Point. She came to Clearfield in 1949. SHE was a graduate from Weber High School. She was a member of the Clearfield 5th LDS Ward. She had been dance director in the Hooper Ward, speech director in the West Point Ward, Primary teacher, speech director and MIA activity counselor in the Clearfield First Ward. SHE HAD also served as MIA president, counselor in the Relief Society Presidency, work director, speech director in the MIA, Graveside Rites For Leslie Davis Gravesides services were conducted Thursday at the Clearfield City Cemetery for Leslie Davis, infant daughter of Sgt. Terry Lance and Lillian Love Davis. SGT. AND Mrs. Davis live at 70 Valiant, Area C. Hill Air Force Base. The infant died Friday at the Hill Air Force Base Hospital. She was bom June 15, 1976, at the Hill Air Force Base Hospital. Surviving are the parents and two brothers, Michael Davis and Lawrence Davis, all of Hill Air Force Base, the grandparents, Mrs. Lawrence (Evelyn) Davis and Mr. and Mrs. John Love, all of Cleveland, Ohio: ' Thomas CHAPLAIN Richardson officiated at the services. leader in the Primary, Beehive teacher in the MIA, Sunday School teacher and den mother in the Cub Scouts in the Clearfield 5th Ward. She served on the stake board of the Relief Society in the North Davis and Clearfield Stakes, was secretary of the Clearfield Stake Relief Society. She was a poet and had given many readings. SURVIVING are her husband of Clearfield; three sons and one daughter, Ronald Montgomery, of Sandy, Utah; Wayne Montgomery, Clear- field; Clair Montgomery, Ogden; Mrs. Richard (Connie) Gibbs, of Birmingham, Ala.; seven grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and three sisters, Robert B. Fowers, Hooper; Mrs. Melvin R. (Pauline) Williams, Burbank, Calif.; Mrs. Taylor (Virginia) Mrs. Becraft, Ogden; Charlene Gilbert, South Ogden. BISHOP Neil Gailey officiated at the funeral. Church began its meetings with a Bicentennial program held at the Clearfield High Samuel Morgan, died July 6, Funeral services were held July 8, at 11:00 a.m. in the Kaysville East Stake Center. Mr. Morgan was born April 11, 1893 in Samaria, Idaho, the son of Joseph and Mary Margaret Clarkson Morgan. HE WAS educated in the public schools of Logan and the Utah Agricultural College (now Utah State University); the University of Utah and the University of California at Los Agricultural Teachers As- sociation; and the College and High School Section of the Utah Educational Assoc.; Chairman of the Professional Relations Committee of UEA; member of the House of Delegates of UEA; member of the State Committee on Articulation of High Schools and Colleges of Utah. He was also a member cf the committee on Counseling Standards of Utah High Schools; member of the Evaluation Committee of North-We- st Acrediting As- sociation for High Schools and colleges and a member of the Executive committee of the Utah High School Activities . June 2, 1908 in Alliance, Nebraska, a daughter of George W. and Grace Cole Kirchman. On Nove. 19, 1933, she was married to Lyle A. Morris in Hardin, Montana. She had lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Billings, Montana before coming to Sunset in 1946. She was a member of the Clearfield- American Legion Auxiliary No. 134 the Ogden Drove No. 27, BPO Does, and the Protestant Church. SURVIVING are her husband of Sunset; one daughter, Mrs. Patiricia Pomeroy, Ogden; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two brothers and one sister; H. L. Kirchman, Cody, Wyo., Jack R.
