Flor An Suzara, Philippine AFS exchange Indonesian exchange student; and Beth Miya, Davis Highs AFS sumflier exchange student t o Finland were the guests o f honor at this event. The program included a talk from each of the exchange students concerning the festive customs of their countries. Flor Suzara told of the celebration of Christmas in the Philippines. Flor, Eileen Thatcher and Johnson sang "Silent Night in the native Philippine dialect, are celebrated. Christmas carols were sung by the whole group which consisted of members of the Davis High language classes, their instructors and various school dignitaries. Mr. Raymond Obendor f r French instructor at Davis, acted as the master of ceremonies for the occasion. He gave a talk on the customs of American and French Christmas celebrations. The home economics students of Mrs. Elaine Ramptons classes, prepared the refreshments consisting of punch and cookies for the occasion. how they l Aa... Mr. Hutchinson's French classes of Clearfield High School combined forces at their first annual Christmas party Friday evening at the school cafeteria.
