Kirchmer Lane, Layton, Utah, is presently taking his annual reserve cruise aboard the guided missile cruiser BoardUSS Providence (CLG-6ing the ship on the East Coast, boatswains mate 1st class Kirchmer, USNR, will disembark at Long Beach, California, July 29th. Mr Kirchmer is an civil engineer for the Air Force, and is a member of the 0 of Ogden, Utah. The Providence, under the command of Captain Kenneth L. Veth, USN, was ordered to change her home port from Boston, Mass., to Long Beach, Calif. She sailed from Boston June 22, embarking groups of reservists at ports along the way.
