She arrived in Kaysville on December 4 and she and George Green were married December 11, 1904. i Always active in her LDS church Mrs. Green still enjoys its auxil- iary organization. Her nimble fingers are always busy, knitting, crocheting and doing other handiwork. She has consistently won prizes In the County Fair with, her beautiful handiwork. She has also been interested in traveling and has spent time in California with her daughter and in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a granddaughter. Uv4yv .f'v- ITS NO 1'' - MRS. Delightful refreshment were served to the following members: Velma Giles, Martha Kent and Gladys Wilda of Kaysville, and Blanch Williams, Ann Reyerson, Edna Mae Smedley and Bernece Walker. Martha Kent of Kaysville and Bernece Walker of Layton attended n Pinochle Club in Ogden, Feb. 12. The hosteu was Mrs. Dorothy Wilson. The afternoon wae spent at Edes Ten Houee, in Ogden. Bernece Walker won the high prize and Martha Kent won the next prist. The regnlar monthly meeting of the Pinochle Club will be held Feb. 17th, at the home of Mrs. Marie Mower at 845 N. Dixie in Layton. Girl Scout Troop No. 54 haa bean conducting a very interesting and instructive project in the past weeks. Mrs. Williams from Ogden came on the last two Fridays and instructed the girls in the art of making pottery. The first week they molded the clay and Mrs. Williams took the things home with her and fired them. The following week she returned them and the girls painted them and put the glaze on them. Mrs. Williams then took them again to be fired. In about three weeks she will return them as finished pottery. There are 15 girls in the troop. Mrs. Erma m Layton ner. The Trinity Lutheran Won ens Missionary League will meet Friday, Feb. 22 for their regular monthly busineis meeting. The topic for the evening discussion, will take the form of a panel, and will be, Improving our Prayer Life." A recent social evening was held by the Lutheran Womens Missionary League, at the parsonage, 272 Golden Ave. with Mrs. Emil Krugler and the Executive Board member. Beef Fielding, Mr. and Mrs. De-Lig-ht Boy Sconls hold Civil Defense hike Layton Troop 80 of the Layton Boy Scouts will go on a Civil Defense emergency hike sometime in the near future, Plans of the hike, according to Joe Kirby, scoutmaster, call for ono boy to be taken up a canyon ahead of tho other scouts. Then the other 27 boys of the troop will be taken to the area and tpld to find the one lost scout who, it will develop, is suffering with a broken leg. The boys will find the in-- 1 jured member of the troop and carry him to safety. There will bo ono hour notice given to th boye before they are to go on tha hike, th scout- master said.
