Funeral services will iff" held Friday at p.m. in the I,ayton LDS Fourth Ward. Friends may call at the Lindquist Mortuary in Ogden Thursday from 7 until it p.m. and at Layton Fourth Ward Friday from 11 a. mi until time of services. Mr. Stephens was born September 12, P.MI5, in Salt Lake City, a son of Fredrick J. and Lucy Ann Lavender Stephens. Mr. Stephens was married March 50, I'.t.'ll, to Mary Edith Foster of Ilennefer, in Ogden. Mr. Stephens was a farmer most of his life. Sets baseball tourney The Layton Little Layton League All Stars have set August 15th and Kith as the dates for their Invitat i o n a 1 at the Baseball Tournament Hill Garden Homes diamond. Participating in the event are Little League Al Star baseball teams from Clearfield, Ogden and Weber County. The double elimination tournament will be played at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, 5:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m, on Friday,.. August 15th. Saturdays games will be played at 10:io a.m., 1:50 p.m. and if a third game is necessary at 4:50 p.m. Pairing will be announced later. Trophies which were purchased by the Layton Little League will be given Ao the first and second place Winners. Members of the Layton Little team are as League All-Stfollows: Rqed Barber, Carter Cook, Johnny Kilmer, and Robert Garcia from the Layton Braves team. Lee Burton, Ted Pierce, and Clint Judkins from the Layton Cubs Team. Two Layton Bees were chosen, Robert Benton and Galen Simmons, and also two Layton Wasps, Tommy Snow and George The Layton Yunkees contributed three players, Kent Mitchell, Steven Ronnencamp, and Ronald Bair. All Star players from Hill AFB Little Hornets are Chuck Kinny, Gregory Watkins, Charles Dunn, and Ronnie Watkins. Managers of team are Floyd the All-StBuckley, Staff Sgt. Arvey and Master Sgt. Bill Kilmer. In charge of the tournament and also chief umpire is Staff Sgt. Gene Rodar from Hill AFB. Wendall Snow would like to announce that the six Layton Little League teams will be entered in the Davis County-Fair- , August 20th to 25rd, to compete with teams represent-in- y all of Davis County. To date there are four more games to go in Little League play in Layton.
