Sick & Kaysville Word was received this week from Mrs. Walter Thomas of Kansas City, Missouri, that her son Howard Thomas, former Kaysville resident and owner of the Larkin Cafe building, suffered a heart attack last Wednesday. His condition since then has improved only slightly, according to Mrs. Thomas. Ralph Edward Ashby . . . will serve on LDS mission in Cali- Kaysville Lions To At the 12th annual distinquished service award banquet of the Kaysville Junior Chamber of Commerce, Thursday evening at the Davis High School, Mr. Galbraith was presented the award by Mayor Lloyd A. Bishop and selected as this communitys outsta n d i n g young man of 1056. Lyle Holmgren, Logan, was guest speaker. Mr. Holmgren, former president of the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce, discussed qualities of leadership before a large audience. Mr. Galbraith is active in a host of civic organizations and projects. He is vice president of Davis County Fair Board, chairman of Miss Davis County Queen Contest, which he organized in 1955. He is also Davis Countys representative in. the Associated Clubs of Northern Utah and has been an officer of the Associated Chibs for the past three years. He is now serving as director of Kaysville Lions Club; he has served that organization as both president and vice president. He is active in county education circles and has served as secretary of the Davis County mentary Principals Association. For the past two years he has served on the Davis County Parent-TeachAssociation Council.
