AGENT Lions Club to Sponsor Sunset Friendship Day t SUNSET According to James Meadows, president of the Lions Club, this organization will sponsor a contest to select a Queen' to reign over Sunset Friendship Day on August 13, This contest is open to any tingle girl in Sunset between the ages of 15 and 18 years old. In order to enter the contest a girl should contact James Meadows, Lenard Huff or, Bert Hunter, all of Sunset. The contest will close August on which day all contestants, their parteners and parents and members of the Lions Club and their partners will meet for a Barbecue Picnic and dance at 8:00 P.M. in the Sunset City Park. An impartial judge from outside of Sunset will make the choice of Queen and she will be notified the evening of August 1. Sunsets Queen will reign over Sunset Friendship Day on August 13. Beginning at 2:00 P. M. on this day a childrens parade will be held. All children of Sunset are invited to participate in this event. A continuous carnival will begin at 2:00 P.M. also with booths featuring the usual and unusual in carnival fun and food. Two ball games will also be major features of the afternoon. At 3:30 P. M. Sunset and Bountiful win play ball and at 5:30 P. M. the ' Midget League game will feature Sunset and Clinton boys. There will be a dance in the evening beginning at 8:00 P. M. with prizes to be given swsy every 80 minutes. COURT HOUSE Stake to Layton GROUNDS NOW Fete Old Folks HAS PARKING With Outing FARMINGTON A parking lot, large enough to accommodate more than fifty cars has been made available to courthouse employees and visitors to .the Davis County courthouse. ; The move has been made to somewhat alleviate the growing parking problem, according to the board of county commissioners. Guard rails have recently been placed in the area which was gravelled last year. Future improvements include a walk from the lot to the south entrance of the courthouse' and shade areas to be , planted next year.'
