Eleven needy families in Davis county will enjoy a Merry Christmas this year, due to the project of Pro Schola in cooperation with the Davis County Department of Public Welfare. Pro Schola has conducted annually for six years the Program. Huge quantities of clothing, food, money, and toys have been contributed throughout Davis county by merchants, business establishments, and students and teachers at Davis High. All of these people have been very instrumental in making this drive a success. Pro Schola is the Davis High Girls Pep Club and is composed of eighty-fiv- e members. The officers and advisors in charge of are Kay Glover, La Rae Moss, Margaret Ford, Merese Turner, Renee Layton, Miss Virginia Peterson, and Mrs. Beatrice Car-rol- l. Keith Ray George became the recipient of a certificate for heroism from the National Scout Court of Honor in special rites held at the Syracuse Ward recently. boy, Keith, a likeable was credited with saving the life of Eddie Vai Dex during a swimming accident in February 1954. Now, scouts are supposed to be able to plunge in and save a life when the occasion demands but the feat was especially remarkable in this because Keith is handicapped with only one arm.
