They are Mr. and Mrs. Don Murphy of Boise, daho, with a record of fifty-seveyears, Mr. and Mrs. L. Murphy Middleton, Idaho, fifly-o- n years and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Murphy of Homednle, Idaho, with fifty years to their record. Although their anniversary was not celebrated with too much festivity, Christmas made up for it with several out of town visitors being gueeta at their house. Among these were Victor N. Murphy, a son from San Bernardino, California: Mr. and Mrs. Lynn J. Muir and children, Jerry and Lynn, Jr., from Laguna Beach, California, and Mr. and Mrs. Burt C.' Marain and children, Dennis and Roger, also from Laguna Beach. NO. 39 Work On Million Dollar1 Road Project Through This Area Now Underway KAYSVILLE Opening phase of the million dollar superhighway project from Lagoon to Layton has begun with work on two major overpasses, one at North Farming-to- n junction and the other west of ' Kaysvill. The two jobs are scheduled to be completed by Jat summer et a cost of (181,734. Contracts for the second phase of the superhighway, including six miles of new foar lane highway from Lagoon to be built west of the present U. S. 01, will be let next summer. It is estimated to cost (399.000. Final phase of the project which will make the Salt Lake to Ogden highway one of the finest will be the construction of a four lane highway for two miles north of Layton linking it to the present-four-lanroad beginning south of Oearfield. The --North Farmington junction -overpass will ease the traffic bottleneck on busy U. 8. l junction by permitting ears to turn left onto the highways without passing in front of oncoming traffic. The Utah Road Commission has installed 902 feet of curb and gutter. A new traffic semaphore Is to be put at the intersection of Center and Main strata when the work is completed.
