Barlow, president, and other new officers of the Clearfield Kiwanis cluli are scheduled to be held at a banquet I he. It at H pm. at Mas and Fa's in Roy. A well known Clearfield businessman, Mr. Barlow has long been active in Kiwanis affairs. He ha served two term as vice president and two terms as secretary in addition to several committee positions. He was chairman of the street naming and numbering project in Clearfield Beginning Jan. 1 Mr. Barlow will counalso take office as four-yea- r cilman on the Clearfield city council, a position for which he was elected at November municipal election. A member of the North Davis LDS stake Sunday , school board, he is also on the finance committee of the Clearfield First ward. Mias Linford died Dec. 3 after an illness. Prayer before services was by George J. Walaer. Prayer in the chapel vu by Rulon Barnes, lone Grange playad organ prelude and postlude music. Speakers were Bishop Paul C. Layton, William E. Galley, Saitauel Morgan nd Alan B. Blood, Clover Sanders rendered a vocal solo, "The Good Shepherd" accompanied by Mrs. Grange. Mrs. Sanders and Ruth Frost sang a duet, "0 My Father.' David Cook rendr&- - vocal solo, "Tranquility." Benediction was by Sterling Morton and dedicatory prayer at the graveside in the Kaysville-Layto.cemetery by Lasrrence Criddle. Pall bearers were H. G. Prises will be awarded for the best decorating in each of three classes: 1. Religious theme. 2. Santa Claus and reindeer or fantasy theme. X Most decorative lighting. Salt Lake City. . The sanctuary has new oews of golden oak and asphalt tile floor rose covering. The walls are in acolorbeige color accented by wiqe ed drapes. Other speakers at the rededica-tio- n were Jesse I). Barlow from the board of education; Mayor Melvin G. Wood, Bishop George liaalam and Bishop Kay Nelson, Bishoo Newton, Major Hepner, Hill Field chaplain; Rev. Augusta Jarkley and F. W. Smith of the Baptist state convention. Dr. Steele appeared on the program when the church was first dedicated three years ago. Membership of the community church is mad up of some 23 Protestant denominations who reside in the Clearfield area. The g&Hip joined forces to become a united Protestant church. Members come from the entire North Davis are including Sahara Village, Anchorage and Arsenal Villa in Roy, Weber county. The church's first pastor was Dr. Rollo Speer, who ha since died. Mr. Stewart was born In Kaysville, Dec. 7. 1887, a ton of Hyrum He and Cynthia Hyde Stewart. spent his early life here and attended local schools. He married Andrea Palmer of Farmington. Oct. 11, 1913, and they spent their first year of married life In San Diego. They then returned to Utah and have since made their home in Salt Lake City. A member of the LDS church. Mr. Stewart has been associated with the real estate and building business. Survlvora include his widow, one son and three daughters: Paul I!. Stewart, Mra.
