There were two honored guest Mrs. Irene Chidister received a birthday gift shower and Mrs. Fern Jenkins was the recipient of many five gifts at a stork shower. Prixe winners for the evening were Mrs. Lucille Freeland, Mrs. Donna Petro and Mrs. Mary Ban. Recent guest at the Ken Freeland residence was Mrs. C. B. Beau- regard and licr children, Shirley and Benny Joe. They stayed a week and then Mrs. Beauregard and, Benny left for their home in Sail'd. California. Shirley stayed with the Freelands and will leave this week when her father will come to take her home. Mrs. Beauregard is the wife of Mrs. Freelands brother. Miss Myrna Manning is on vacation as guest of her sister in Lava Springs, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Smith who have been in Lewiston, Idaho for the past five weeks are enroute home. Mr. Smith ha not been feeling well. Mr. A. K. Green is ill this week in an Ogden hospital. Mis Barbara Jean Bodily ha a victim thi week of an al-- 1 lerxy raith. Mr. Maureen Wilhelmson and children, who have been visiting Mr. and Mr. Melvin Wood, home to Idaho Falls, Sunday. Mr. Mack Wilhelmson came to drive them. Mr. David Hoskins ha recently left for Arizona to stay with a sister, for reasons of ill health. Mr. David Hoskins and son Deloy accompanied her but have now returned home. Guests at the Art White residence were Mr. and Mr. Grant mother1 rlp t joyed a recent trip to Bear Iike. Mr. Myron Bodily is still bragging about the big trout he caught in South Fork a few days ago. Mrs. Richard Tilford was guest of honor at an lnfantieipaiion shower at the home of Mr. and Wood on - Monday Mrs. Melvin night. Hostess at the shower was Miss Mary Ellen Wood. The shower was held on the lawn of the home following a buffet supper. The lawn was prettily decorated with lattice work and in the arch way, which served as entrance to the party area, was a large pink and blue sign reading "Babyland". The supper consisted of Spring salad and hot rolls with peppermint stick ice cream and decorated cakes for dessert. The table' was nicely decorated with the stork theme carried out in centerpiece and favors. Approximately fifty guests were invited and the guest of honor was the recipient of many nice gifts for the baby to be. Mrs. Tilford is the former Josie Mammon from West Point. Member of the Geneology class Well and children, Wendell, Ramona and Pamela Sue, front Los Angeles. The two familiea enjoyed a picnic in Cottonwood Canyon and wiener roast on Friday evening. The Well family left for Lo Angeles on Saturday via of Rryce and Zion Canyons. The Pat Luck club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Goe-corlast Saturday evening. Everyone enjoyed a pot luck supper following which two films were enjoyed. One film was of the Hawaiian Islands, the other the Northwest and parts of Canada around Lake Louise. Camea were also played. Prises were won by Ruth Bodily, Merle Bolschweiler and Connie Peterborg. The younget clas in the Junior A Sunday school of First ward enjoyed a party Wednesday at the home of their teacher, Mr. Clayton, in Smith Village. Mr. and Mr. Sterling Clark an-- 4 ' of a MA Sunday school enjoyed an outing Saturday night at Mueller Park. There were approximately thirty in attendance including members of the bishopic and the Sunday School Supenntendoncy and teachers of this class are Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wood. Melvin Wilcox and family attended the Wilcox reunion in Lilierty Park on Saturday July They also attended the Muir reunioiv at Crystal Spring on Sunday July :t. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wilcox anJ family attended the funeral of Mrs. Ellenor Johnson in Doweney, Idaho last Saturday. Mrs. Johnson was the grandmother of Mrs. Wilcox and ha been ill for sometime. Attending the funeral also were brother and sister of Mr. Wilcox who later accompanied her home to Clearfield and stayed overnight They were Golden loney from Brant, Canada. Howard Doney and wife from Calgary Canada and Mr. lola Plait from Barnwell, Alberta Canada and Mrs. Irene Doney of Layton. Mrs. Dennis Pringle and baby daughter are house guests at the B. F. Howe residence for a couple of weeks. Mrs. Pringle is the daughter of Mrs. Howe. Mr. and Mr. B. F. Howe re- turned last Friday from a vacation trip to Greeley, Colorado. y The past weekend the Hansons had as house guests Mr. Hansons two sister, Mrs. Frank Warde and her husband from Lot Angeles, and Mrs. lilll Darden with her husband and daughter Sonxa from Denver, Colorado.
