Ray Chideater, returned home laat Thursday. Douglas J. Myers, who has recently been released from the armed forces arrived here on Sunday, March IK, from Camp Le June, North Carolina, to join his family who have been making their home with Mrs. Myer's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lunt, during his absence. Mr. and Mrs. Myers and the two children plan to leave in the near future for their home in Detroit, Michigan. Wasatch P.-A. WEATHER STATION This year the Fifth grade at Verdeland achool built our own weather station. We made our own barometer and had a hard time getting mercury for it. We were happy to find j t READING PROGRAM The sixth grade gave up their reading period to help th slower chiluren in other rooms to read. We first got instructions from Mr. Moss and Mrs. Men til on what we could do to help. Mr. Moss assigned dif- s. ferent students to different-roomThe sixth grade took them to corners of th hall and in the lunch room to hear them read. The children read to them three days a week, and a half hour each time. After about six weeks, the teacher said th children read well enough to quit for a while.
