SATURDAYS During Summer Months. Last week the Iyton Town all water users that water for to out sent notices Board outside purposes was to he used by half the town on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the other half on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Sunday no water was to tie used at all for outside purposes. The board thought this the fairest way to divide water without working a hardship on anyone. This is what happened. With only half the town using water at one time there was more water consumed each day than when the entire town was using water. There is plenty of water at its source. The town of Layton has grown so fast that the supply lines to the reservoirs are too small to supply the demand. Unless the Town Board can get cooperation of the citizens, water will be put on an hourly basis, which will work a hardship on some people. If everyone would use good judgement there should lie no water shortage. There are people w ho have watered continuously where, before the order, a couple of hours mornings and evenings have taken care of their needs. One report comes in that one water user washed off his sidewalk four times in one day. I ask you, is that conserving People are funny. water ? kst Received Limited Supply High Quality Plymouth Binder Twine. Your Twine NOW While it Is Available. Certain areas of our town have been without water for hours at a time and this condition must stop. It would be far better that the lawn gets a little dry than to have and that is just your home bum down in case of a fire, what would happen unless everyone helps to relieve this temporary water condition. If the fire siren blows and you are using water, turn it off immediately. Conserve all the water you can and use only when it is your turn. City employes have been instructed to watch for water violators. They will be invited to call on the Judge and tell their story to him. It is the only thing that can be done in fairness to all and the Town Board hopes that more stringent measures will not be necessary. Give the Town Board the support they are asking for. It will be appreciated. alSneaking of water and hot weather, you will COLD STORAGE LAYTON ways find it cool at the cool to you off on the outside with our air conditioning to cool you and our good ice cream and cold soda pop MerMerr see and in Come my off on the inside. serve to you. chants.
