BENNETT - " Correspondent Phono: Kaysville 62 J 2 The Centennial beautification committee and the citizens of Syracuse are justly proud of the successful accomplishments recently completed during the spring cleanup campaign in this community. Much of the work has been completed that has added extra beauty to homes, public places and sur . roundings. An outstanding example of the cleanliness that does exist here is the Syracuse cemetery. Much work has been completed during the past lew weeks which adds beauty to this project, The lawn and shrubbery are daijv cared for, and additional flowers and shrubs have been planted this spring. Special instructions (Concerning the planting and caring for these are under the direction of a nurseryman, who landscaped the cemetery at the beginning of the project. Mr A Mrs Arnold Bodily of Syracuse, Mr A Mrs J. C. Hansen and daughter Klea of Kaysville were last Sunday guests of Mr A Mrs Clarence Tree at their home in Ogden. Mr A Mrs Louis J. Roberts were week end guests of Mr A Mrs E. W. Robinette at their home in Todd Park, Tooele. Samuel Cook has had the cast removed from his right leg, after a three month period. He suffered seriously torn legiments last Feb ruary, but can now get around with the use of crutches. Mrs. J. D. Gardner of Blackfoot, Idaho spent the Memorial holidays here at the homes of her brothers, Zenas W. Bennett and Eldon J. Bennett. She returned home Sunday with Mr A Mrs Zenas Norman and Mr A Mrs Vernon Bird also of Blackfoot, who spent the time here and at Kaysville witlrrelatives. Mr A Mrs Raymond H. Anderson entertained with a well arranged social at their home last Friday evening. Invited guests were Mr day guests of Mr A Mrs Lynn J. Wilcox. The Misses Jacelyn and Letha Harris of Layton are visiting for a few days this week with their grandparents Mr A Mrs John L. Stoker.
