Reed enlisted in the medical corps in April. 19U, and trained at Hamilton field, Calif. In November, 1941, he transferred to the air corps and camC to Hill Field. He left for overseas duty on January IS, 1943, and arrived in North Africa where he spent 13 months. He was in Italy for seven months, on Corsica for one month and then went into France and Germany. i f BROTHERS DISCHARGED Sec. Lt Richard LAYTON Brent Weaver has been discharged from the army air corps in New Mexico after 45 months of active duty. In the service since December 3, 1941, Lt Weaver served as a staff sergeant in charge of sup- - -- 1943. Tkij u f to wear four battle stars for the i ' i 4 , i Germany Rhineland, . Normandy, and Northern France campaigns as well as the good conduct medal-- . A third son of the Weavers, First Lt Don Weaver, stationed at Shreveport La., with the air corps, has arrived home to spend a few day with his parents. Lt Weaver entered the gjr corps on January 8, 1943, and spent eight months overseas a pilot of a Flying Fortress. He completed 35 missions and has been awarded the distinguished flying cross and the air medal with six oak leaf clusters.
