Simple rules, if observed, will prevent thousands of dollars in damage to our water sheds on the Wasatch range. These rules are : ' 1. Never make a fire in a spot surrounded by dry grass or inflammable ground materials, unless a circle of absolute safety has been cleared around the fire. CLEARFIELD Naval Supply 2. Hats Off to Clearfield August 3, 1943, will go dowrn in the history of Clearfield as the one day when everyone agreed. A sewer bond election was held and when votes were counted everyone had voted aye. t Years before the war impact made it imperative that immediate and proper sewage collection and disposal be instituted, Clearfield realized the need of such disposal facilities. Trunk line costs were prohibitive but with the government building a suitable outflow line and several hundred per cent increase in population, the cost.- of sewer facilities came within easy range of all. The same urgency is seen in all communities where the trunk line passes Layton is preparing for a bond election in September but Syracuse, West Point, Clinton, Sunset and Roy should take immediate steps to use the trunk line facilities and remove long standing insanitary sewage conditions within their municipal boundaries. Health is natures greatest gift to Utahans conserve it. - L.W.Nims Appointed Coordinator Utilities Wartime Aid Program SALT LAKE L. W.
