Rentmeister underwent a major operation at a Salt Lake hospital Saturday morning. Captain and Mrs. Arthur' Lay-to- n of the Coast Artillery and two children, of Camp Ilahn, California, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Layton over the weekend. They left Monday for his new station in Texas. Two apartments of the new Galbraith apartments will be occupied today although they are not finished. The third completely apartment is plastered ready for papering and finishing. The Fruit Heights Birthday club was entertained last week at the home of Mrs. A. L Jost. And because of high and roily waters, most of the fishermen went to the higher lakes. . Contrary to former years, all lakes except portions restricted by army orders opened the same time as streams. The uniform opening date .was to avoid concentration of fishermen in the lower elevations the first part of the season then later on the higher lakes. The following is a resume of stream conditions as observed by wardens of the fish and game department. In the Salt area. Mill creek was clear in the canyon. East canyon stream was in good shape, but Big Cottonwood was high with waters clearing. Uintah, Daggett areas: Oaks Park reservoir, good; Mammoth creek, Panguitch creek, creek, b Sevier river, Tropic reservoir, creek, Navajo lake and Pine lake were average; others were high or roily, in the Uinta, Panguitch and Daggett areas. Fish lake area: Fish lake and Fremont river were both average; Seven Mile, U. M. creek and Lost creek were all high. All streams were high and roily in the .Roosevelt area and Moon lake was average. In the Manila area. Carter creek; Beaver creek and Burnt creek were high and clear; Sharp creek high and roily and other streams were high but clear. In the Emery county area, Indian creek, Seely creek and Ferron creek were all average while Huntington right fork was average and left fork was clear. Lowry creek was average but roily. High runoff were listed on the Santa Clara river system in Washington. but Enterprise reservoirs were very favorable, - Sevier county area. Sevier river was high and roily, Monroe creek was high but creek clear and high. Three creek. Fish creek. Clear creek canyon, clear and high but good; Shingle creek clear and high, three creek, clear and high. Deer creek, high and clear; Daniels creek, clear; Big and Little lost, clear and high, Yogo creek, clear and high; Salina creek, dear; .
