Waa. tfM &-- r Message Brought ' When it became known at Port Bliss tonight that th aviators wars reported held by Mexican bandits there was much discussion among army officers of th possibility of American troops crossing the border in search of th bandits who wera holding th aviators prisoner. This waa discredited -- by higher officers for two reasons. The principal ona advanced was that th American aviators would be killed tf an expedition crossed in pursuit of the baud its. The other reason was that orders for expeditions to cross th Big Bend district apply only to th pursuit of bandits who have stolen property on the American side and then only to follow a "hot trail." The messages from th aviators were sent to their relatives at Strathmore and Berkeley, Cal, and Hutchinson, Minn, as soon as received at Marfa.
