His long and Successful career as leader of the Mormon choir . 1 J r Next Friday and Saturday evenings and Saturday afternoon, Mr. Joseph Holland will present, at the Salt Lake Theatre, The Mysterious Mr. Bugle his great comedy success. Mr. Holland is one of the foremost comedians on the stage. He stands along 6ide of Jefferson, Crane and Goodwin, and his personality is as potent and his talents as great as any of the great American fun makers. The advance press notices says of Mr. Hollands production: During the long and successful run of The Mysterious Mr. Bugle at the N. Y. Lyceum Theatre last spring, the play was everywhere praised as the most brilliant production of the pen of its gifted author, Madeleine Lucette Ryley. The Mysterious Mr. Bugle is described as a rollicking three act farce. The fun is fast and furious, and yet it is clean in plot and story, something that is sufficiently rare in the light comedies of the day to make it a subject of re- freshing comment. .While the plot is of French order, the suggestiveness of the French school is carefully avoided. The dialogue bristles with wit, the action is brisk, the situations are clever, ; and the entire production of that high order of artistic merit that would naturally be expected of a play that had enjoyed at long run at the If Y. Lyceum Theatre Among the ot her. members the company are Miss Gretcheffi Lyons;, who has V been pronounced one of the beautiful women of the stage, Miss Wynoma Shannon, Mr. Joseph Kilgour, Mr. Charles Collins and Miss Agnes Findlay. For next week at the New Grand Theatre, Garvie has booked Lincoln Carters new melo drama Under the Dome. This latest production of Carter has scored an immense success since it was first produced last September. The story is founded on occurrences in recent international history and is brimful of strong situations.
