The call has come for every citizen to do his patriotic duty. Millions of men are fighting on European batdefields for the cause of liberty. As rapidly as possible, our own soldiers must be sent to the front to battle by their sides. Plans must be made for a long, hard war, lasting perhaps for years. The situation is grave. Submarine warfare is destroying shipping far faster than new boats are being bulk. Symptoms of internal disorganization in Russia continue. The burden on our allies is heavy. The honor and future of this nation are at stake. THE WAR MUST AND SHALL BE WON. A S But there are other ways in which you can help. Money is necessary to win this war. Ships must be built. Food and munitions must be sent to our allies. Our own soldiers must be equipped and paid. The United States must raise $2,000,000,000 immediately by the sale of 3H per TO 'y I I s cent bonds. Every member of Salt Lake Clearing House association will subscribe for these 4t i bonds. It is important that each patriotic citizen contribute his share. To that end, the member banks will receive subscriptions for these bonds cost, from all who may desire thus to do their bit toward winning this great protecting the cause of liberty in this country and throughout the world.
