Paul again: But with whom was he (God) grieved forty years? was itnot with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom aware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not eiiter in because of unbelief. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest; any of you should seem to come short of it.' AUTHENTIC ARVICE OF WORTHY YOUR CONFIDENCE 1930 a Challenge to Business Management The year 1930 will, in my opinion, separate the sheep from the goats among businesa executives. Many mediocre managements have gotten by dunng the past few years by riding on the prosperity wave. This year they will iqeet changed conditions. There- is plenty of business to be had, but It will require more "getting. Hence, instead of riding the waves, business executives have got to row the boat: The wise investor Is going to pay more attention to the character 'f of the management and not-smuch attention to the number and size of factories, or to -- the complex and glittering financial statements. Financial statements can change rapidly, but the character of an honest, capable, agd man gressive and will not change. -- Jaaduuj Puiicicuu broad-visione- iIHIIAILTIH YOUR HEALTH IS TOO IMPORTANT TO RISK Be of High Order The coming year will test tho efficiency, of sales managements In vigorous fashion. Competition will grow keener. The struggle for markets will be bitter. Hence, executive leaders should emphasize and strengthen the sales departments of their businesses. A. thrgreatrEpistle.- THE DISPENSATION OF THE MERIDIAN OF TIME From this period of Israel through that of the prophets come to the forerunner of the Christ, and to the Christ himself, and the dispensation of things through him to the revelation of God through him, for Jesus was no other than God manifested in the flesh (I Tim. 3:16 ; he made atonement for sin; he revealed the love of God for man by that sacrifice he created the possibility of fellowship with God through the Holy "Ghost ; he brought about the resurrection from, the dead bringing life and immortality to light through the gospel. All this the Christ did; and also taught by precept and lived in fact the perfect life moral and spiritual required by the gospel. His life and doctrine written by his followers made up the New Testament scriptures, thus reducing to permanent form, for the most part, the account of the things which Je&us both did and taught, and thereby conferred a most permanent blessing upon the human race. This scripture, (the New Testament) also recorded the things which the apostles and other inspired servants of God dtd in the times immediately following the Christ, thus increasing the value of the things Jesus taught by their admonitions upon them and by reducing them to an attempted practice by the community of Tiis following his church Thep fame thearrestecLdeyelopment of the organization, as we have already seen (No. 14 this series) : the failure to perpetuate the organization, especially in the major officers of the church, their high spiritual functions also, aird the powerful gifts and graces inherent in them. Also the arrested development of some' doctrines of the dispensation of the Christ and the apostles are to be noted; for example, the doctrine of the preaching of the gospel in the spirit world (I Peter 3; also I Feter 4) ; and the full outgrowth or significance of it. Also the doctrine of baptism for the dead,- definitely enough mentioned, and spoken of as a practice followed, but mentioned nowhere else than in Pauls first letter, to the Corinthians, and 'no knowledge is there given of the procedure though it is a doctrine of the utmost importance, if, a implied by the mention and practice of it, the dead may. receive the saving grace in acceptance of, and obedience to, the gospel. It may affect the salvation of the larger part of .the human' race, did men but know the fulness of the procedure. It represents an Arrested developmeht of a, most important part of the gospel in that dispensation. Then followed the era of the Falling Away, br Loss of the Christian Religion and Church the age of darkless thg midnight of the world brought on by tho Christian worlds departure from the truth of God, the gospel and the cor-- ) uption of 'the church appointed to administer it. Then the period of renaissance the worlds slow awakening to enlightenment and the final coming of the promised Dispensation of the Fullness of Times, which shall bring ta light all the purposes of God nd gather together in one all things in Christ.
