Wednesdays Pan at Great Display of Riding And Driving Contests And Rodeo Events, Rucking Contests, Steer Riding and Roping Trophies Offered The second annual horse and agricultural show which will be staged on Wednesday May 15, by the Ag club at the Utah State Agricultural college promises to be one of the principal events of the season. The agricultural show will consist of exhibits from the departments of forestry, horticulture, poultry, dairy manufacture, botany, and engineering, animal husbandry. They will be open to the public at the campus from 8:00 a. m. until 1:00 p. m. At 1:00 p. m. the competition on fitting and showing of pedigreed livestock will begin at Adams ' field.; J At 2:00 p. m at Adams field, the horse show will begin. An attractive array of events, display-- ing the beauty and action or the riding, light driving, and Jumping horses, has been arranged for. A car load , of riding and Jumping horses are being imported from the Remount Service at Fort Douglas to be. used in several of the events. Special classes have been arranged to show the fine light horses that are owned . locally. The various classes are arranged as: Sorority team contest, gentlemen's driving class, owners riding class, ladles riding class, lady and gentleman team riding class, musical chair .contest,, and open jumping or hunter class. This array of contests offers a variety which can not, be excelled as events to demonstrate the beaty or the riding and light driving horse, and should be Intensely Interesting to any one Interested In the light horse. The final feature of the show will consist of several .rodeo events. J. Y. Richs string of reputed bucking horses from Garland, Utah has been secured for the bucking contest. Its work Is carried on by correspondence, committees, research papers, addresses and discussions in general meetings, and by the publication of summaries of papers and discussions. Meetings are held an interim meeting in October and the annual meeting in April or May. The Academy admits to membership all persons interested in its aims. The Academy now has 103 members enrolled. Papers are welcomed from all members and prospective members.
