The various necessary features were explained by U. S. Reclamation Engineer R. J. Alexander and State Engineer E. O. Larsen. It was decided to appoint a general committee composed of members of the various units to be bene-fitteincluding Hyrum, Paradise, Wellsville, Mendon, Logan, Cove, Smithfield and Richmond. This committee will arrange for the making of maps of the entire region to be covered, platting the property and giving the names of owners, showing lines or present or proposed canals, and other necessary data. The Junior high school is going to give you opportunity to serve. We are badly in need of more books. We have 750 boys and girls clamoring for something to read. The comparatively small amount we can spend each year to replenish our library doesnt go far. We have hesitated about makinng a drive for books this year when other schools in the city were replenishing their libraries. However, we are asking you to look over your book shelves and see if there are a few volumes you could pass on to our students. The ,drug stores and Wilkinson Si Sons are giving us their unsold magazines each month, and they have been very helpful. One home sent us six complete volumes of the National Geographic magazine last week. Even if you can spare only one book suitable for readers from 12 to 16 years, we will gladly call and get it. Do not hesitate to call the Junior high or Laura R. Merrill, librarian. Special Purchase Thru Our New York Office oS a Truly Wonderful Assortment of Womens Dresses.
