The plot is pretty much the same, although, of course, it Is worked out a bit different Lillian takes the part of an Indigent Southern Aristocrat who Is transplanted -- to the more-- or less rough life of the Mojave desert. There she marries a hombre who is pretty much a rough neck, and, fights against the machinations of a villain who Is constantly after her. She thinks she kills him. He Is quiet enough to. be buried, but the wind blows the sand oft him, and it seems that he was not entirely dead. However. Lillian does not know this. When hubby makes a pile of money d tffe.s to scad har back home she finds that she has learned to love her husband, and they agree to stick it out together. It is well filmed, and exciting, and all that, and worth seeing. - VAUDEVILLE Arthur Petley and company featur-ln- y an acrobatic clown wilt give yon a good laugh at the stunts" this Iarris and clever acrobat performs Pepper, with a skit entitled Salesmanship" have a clever line of chatter. This picture is comparable to The Big Parade as a war picture. There is a love story, and a good one, but bigger than1 that is the story of the heroism and the fighting done by two American aviators. The stunt flying is wonderful. It is, in fact, decidedly one of the must" pictures of recent years. And this is the first showing in Logan, which adds to its importance. Mauager Brown of the Grand has done something really big in bringing this great picture to Logan, and If It received the patronage it deserves the Grand will be a full house throughout the engagement. Readers of this department will agree that It Is not our custom to give fulsome praise to pictures, for, somehow, we are, perhaps a bit critical with a good many of them. However, with such pictures as ' The Birth of a Nation," Ben Hur, The Big Parade" and1 a few such really big time shows, we are glad. Indeed to say everything favorable that can be said, and Wings is In that cate, gory. By all means see It. It will well repay you. Its historical value,, Its accuracy to details, the hair raising stunts performed, all are worth while, and the caste is of such calibre that you just know that the thing1 Is well done. Clara Bow, Buddy Rogers, Richard Arlen, Gary Cooper1; Gunboat Smith, Richard Tucker, Henry B. Walthall. Hedda Hopper and a large list of good ones do the picture. Is all hot and bothered because people think what they have a perfect right to think. The plot is threadbare. It is pretty much boakum, but it Is a box office winner, and, after all, the box office is a pretty good criterion as to what people are willing to pay for, and producers can hardly be blamed for producing the kind of pictures that people are willing to pay money to see. taxmTwith At Grand Theatre Armentieres Coming Tues., Wed., Thurs. Is nothing to compare with Wings but it has a good story and a good caste. It is a story of an aviator who, wounded in France, becomes a victim of amnesia, and for eight years is counted as lost. Another accident restores him and he finds his bride about to marry his brother. It Is all fixed up, and ends as it should, and Is a good show. It is also clean. Robert Ober, Burr McIntosh, Edna Murphy and a capable caste delineate this picture, and there are a number of mighty good aeroplane shots to add zest to an Interesting story, and a story not On is w Of conn you know that If Chester Conklin does a picture it is going to give you a, laugh. It was written me story, wo mean, by Frances Noyes Hart, who is a daughter of F. B. Woyes, publisher of the Washington, D. G. Star, and president t of the Associated Press. , It Is a murder mystery, without any gruesome details shown, and has to do with a bunch of circumstantial evidence that keeps one guessing as to who It was who did the killing. , , The story was run In the Saturday Evening Post, and was followed eagerly by a lot of people. In making the film the producers have chosen some real people to do the heavy work and it should be more than good. Leatrice Joy plays the lead, and she Is a favorite with a tremendous proportion of film fans. Betty Bronson, Margaret v Livingston, Margaret Seddon, Edward Nugent, Cosmo Kyrle Bellew and a lot of others are in this film. There are no "crooks in it; neither are there any nasty scandals, although one can dig up a lot of suspicion which IS finally shown to be mere snspiclon. Go and see this one on our say so. We feel sure you will thank us for the advice. ", -- t i i I days, and it is highly recommended. You know Chester Conklin can be funny mighty tunny, without being off color In any way, and there are no situations in this picture that are off color in any way. It is, however, rather exciting at times, and has considerable plot to it. We can recom mend it as clean and funny and worth ' while. it 1 U pt N J Improbable, THE AWAKENING .
