Arthur Mecham. deputy state fish and game commissioner, had a harrowing experience late yesterday afternoon when a truck he was driving ran off the grade into the state dam near the mouth of Lcgan canyon. The truck sank to the bottom of the dam which is about forty feet deep at the place it ran over .the embankment and luckily Mecham was able to extricate himself from the machine and swim to shore. .Mr. Mecham is supervising the planting of Chinook Salmon from the Logan hatchery In Bear Lake.
