THE JOURNAL Entrd tt LOGAN :Y'isiting Kiwanians are praising Club repthe work of the resented by the splendid monuments just erected at the intersection of Fifth North and Main Streets, which are designed to direct tourist traffic to the Utah Agricultural College. The erection 6f these monuments, according to District Governor J. II. Gowen, marks the completion of one of the finest pieces of public service ever rendered by a Kiwanis club. The monuments stand on the northwest and southeast corners of the street intersection, and are so located as to attract the attention of passing automobiles Each monument consists of a shaft, six ' feet in height, on the top of which rests a bronze minialure of the Main Building of the Utah Agricultural College. This feet , miniature is about fou wide and two and a half feet high, weighing approximately 250- pounds. Suspended from a steel arm supporting the bronze casting, is an aluminum casting bearing the inscription, To The Ulan Agricultural College, and an arrow pointing eastward to the college. Both sides of each casting are identical, so that no person can look at them, regardless of from what angle, without being impressed by the message ' they bear. A cut made from a line drawing of one of these monuments graces the front cover, page of the official convention program. We quote from game animal. the San Francisco Chronicle:.. .
