Coach Dick Romhcys Utah Aggie track team Is working overtime in an effort to get in shape for the track meet with the University of Utah cinder path men next Saturday excellent showing which . the Utes made against the Cougars last week, the Aggies realize that the meet next Saturday will be a crucial one and that they will have to be at their best if they are to retain the supremacy they established last year in in track and field work. The meet wilt be held nAd-am- s field and will begin at 2 oclock in the afternoon, accord ing to Coach Romney, w ho has completed all arrangements for the event. The order of track events will be as follows: 100 yard dash, mile run, 120 yard hurdles, 410 yard dash 2 mile run, 220 yard hurdles, 220 yard yard dash, 880 yard run , 880 yard relaymile relay. While these events are keeping the in- after-poonAfterJ- he !J H f, A dles, Geddes, Bennion, and Beal in the 440 yard dash, and Norton and Farrar in the 2 mile run. The race between Norton and Hart in the 2 mile event promises to be a good run. The last time the two men met several years, ago Hart outdistanced his opponent, although Norton has been showing up better than he did in years past. Mortenson and Bickmore will probably be the Aggie entries in the 220 yard hurdles and Bickmore and Flint in the 220 yard dash. In the 880 yard run, Coach Romney will depend up on Burke, Arnold, and McKel-lip- s. The 880 yard relay, team will be picked from the following men, according to" Coach Romney: Flint, Baker, Webster, and Mortenson, Bickmore, Knowles. In the mile relay Coach Romney will pick four of the following: Geddes, Beal, Bennion, Furlong, Gadd, and Bailey. In the field events the Aggies are fairly strong, although the Utes appear to have the edge in severaL of the events.. In - the shot put, Morrill, Gardner, Sanders, and Linford will compete, while in the broad jump Lunt; Webster West, and Flint will carry the Aggie colors. Lunt, Baker, Webster, and Walker will enter the high jump and Coach Ilomney will enter Harris, Webster, and Bailey in the pole vault.
