Show tisi Saturday, December 20, 1020. THE JOURNAL, LOGAN nrr Joseph Greer PATIENTS IN and "" HOSPITAL hospitals, by means of which a' patient may sunimorr a nurse with little effort and yet know with unusual ceitainty that the cull has been noticed and will, be answered, indicate that the day of vexation for a hospital patient because of this minor yet j annoying difficulty can be said to have passed. has been perfect-- . . , This svstem Electric Co., i General ed by the and its great characteristic is, simplicity. No special apparatus, is required, merely standard wiring devices. This also makes. The system inexpensive to install,. Either visible or audible fcig-- I if mils can be Iwth. The patient,, pull On the switch cord within a easy reach of his hand, causes signal lamp to light in the cor-- ' ridor duty room, a second one over the door 'of the patients room, and a third at the bedside of the patient, showing him that, - the call has registered. At the same time it also causes a single troke bell or buzzer over the signal light in the duty room to sound, calling attention to the signal. If the call is not answer ed promptly7; the bell or buzzer may again be sounded by another slight pull on the cord. The lights remain lighted until the nurse reaches the patient and cancels the call. There is a similar arrangement for operating a silent call system, w itheut the, audible signal. If desired the signal lights in the nurses, duty room and over the door of the patient s loom may be red lights. The system eliminates altogether certain expensive including the usual pendant push button switch, and any exceptional lenglh of conductor. There are no current carrying parts within reach of the patient. The system has been designed to Work at 110 volts, and with either alternating or direct current. Low maintenance cost is assured, also, without any reduction of voltage, by providing for the continuous operation of the system, on lighting circuits. 2b HENRY KITCHELL WEBSTER' " l ' Copyright by Tho That Babbc-ilarrl- Co. ll h. you why I thouKht perhaps Ii's because you're an much like him.
