Logan's Clean School Contest has, in the minds of all who have observed its operations, well repaid all the time, attention; and work bestowed upon it, and lias g'ven a stimulus and inspiration to students engaged in it, that is certain to bear fruit in their future lives. Mr. M. S. Parker of the State Board of Health made the inthree spection and selected-t- he best schools judged upon the following bases : School Hygiene, 50 per cent. School Build'ngs, 18 per cent. School Grounds, 8 per cent. School Equipment, 10 percent School Play Ground, 14 per cent. Judged by these standards lie gave credits as follows: Webster School, 93 per cent. Woodruff School, 89 per cent. Whittier School, 88 per 'cent. To the schools in the order named will go the cash awards made by the City Board of Education : fifty dollars to the Webster, $35 to the Woodruff and $15 to the Whittier. All of the city schools, thanks to school authorities, health department of the schools, deserve high rating.
