HAVE MEN 4 i Governor Salt Lake, June William Spry this afternoon offered rewards aggregating" $750 for the arrest and conviction of the train robbers who at an early hour Monday morning held up the - passengers of northbound train No. 1 near Five Points near Ogden. s The rewards are of $250 each. Ogden, June 29. Three men be lieved to have been connected with the robbery of the Oregon Short Line train early Monday morning were arrested here upon information furnished by railroad detectives. In a general way the three men answer to the descriptions of the threb men who Weld up ajid robbed the train. The police are reticent in speaking of the evidence they arrest have against tlio men, was the result of the most important clue which the officers and detectives have secured up to the present time. After three hours of sweating in the office of Chief of Police Thomas Browning, the men were locked in separate cells in the city jail. All the men arrested are i men. They are known to have spent considerable money in the gambling houses and resorts of Electric avenue since Monday. Reports from Brigham City are to the effect that three men were seen around Brigham City Sunday morning and afternoon. They left three suit eases at the Brigham City depot. These were opened and in each was found an empty revolver scabbard. The description of these" men tallies with the ones under arrest: The names of the three men are being withheld by the police. The railroad special officers and detectives feel sure thev have 4the right men, but will give nothing out. The train crew and as many of t'he passengers as can be found are being rounded up to come here to look at the suspects, who are being sweated by the officers in the expectation that they will drop some word that will confirm the suspicions of the officers. The police now attach little to the clue offered by the buggy of the fugitive holdups, as one of 29. FOURTH OF JULY "7 Reduced rates via Oregon Short Line.
