Browning, the gun expert of Ogden, was put on the stand and he contradicted flatly the statements made by the defenses experts, as to the power of penetration possessed by a Colts revolver. He had recently made tests, and at 80 yards this kind of a revolver shot a bullet through moie than 7 inches of soft pine, whereas the defensesexpsrts placed the figures at 3aTnclies of pme. Dr. A. W. Taylor of Brigham gave testimony similar to that of Mr. Browning, in relation to the power of the weapon s u sed Th th e army,' and he contradicted the testimony of the defenses medical experts as to the nature of human tissue and the resistance it offers to a bullet. Sheriff Rigby gave some testimony as to statements made by witness Vell3, and Jhen II. E.
