During the July 29 meeting of the Uintah County Commission, the commissioners announced that they are inviting public input into the final draft of the public lands portion of the Uintah County General - f.kr Plan. Cline says the Post Office is facing many changes and hes looking forward to the challenges of the Vernal service area. He says the lobby will be undergoing a remodeling job, increasing parcel patrons comforts and updating other areas. Automation and changes in carrier start times are other areas receiving his attention. Cline, his wife Brooke and two sons have recently moved from Wednesday, August 6, 2003 Vernal Express their South Jordan home to Vernal. Brooke will continue to finish her nursing degree ut the Utah State University Basin Campus. Cline has previously worked us a supervisor in the Salt Lake City downtown station. He is no stranger to the Uintah Basin, having lived in Venial until he was II years old. lie still has family in Talmadge and his mother lives in Neola. Commissioner Dave Haslem said the general plan is a living document that should be reviewed and revised on a routine basis to keep the plan current with the needs of the county. It should also be closely coordinated with plans made by the U.S. purest Service and the Bureau of Land Management. Anyone with comments or suggestions is invited to speak with one or more of the commissioners or to attend the weekly meetings. Commission members voted to extend the contract of Dave Allison, who helped to write the public lands portion of the general plan. Allison is currently helping to implement the approved portions of the plan.
