Rainbow fishing has been good to excellent both from the shore and through the ice. Good areas for shore fishing include Sheep Creek, Antelope, Linwood Bay, Pipeline, and around the dam Visitors Center using bait or casting Good ice fishing has been reported throughout the Basin. The fog may help in one way, in that the Basin has more frozen waters than any other region in the state. Ice on most lakes and reservoirs, thickness vary. Reservoirs and lakes could be filling which creates weaker ice along the edges. Always check ice carefully before venturing out. Roads should he closed, ski and snowmobile access. East and Oaks Park were empty by end of summer. CALDER CROUSE RESERVOIRS (Jan. 13) Reports of good ice fishing on Calder. Low water levels. Crouse winterkilled last winter due to low water levels and could not be filled due to drought. Access varies with the storms; best bet is with a snowmobile. CURRANT CREEK RESERVOIR (Jan. 13) Reports of ice on reservoir and good fishing. Road frequently maintained to the dam throughout the winter. FLAMING GORGE RESERVOIR (Jan. 13) Anvil Draw boat ramp is closed due to low water. All other major ramps are open with a water temperature of 39 degrees. The north end of the reser- - into shallow bays as well as on traditional runs. Troll flatfish, rapalas or a popgearminnow combination on or near the bottom using steel line or a downrigger, or jig over structure and along drop-off- s using large jigs or spoons, perhaps tipped with a minnow or sucker meat small lures and spoons.
