However, there are a few slots still open and registration will continue until they arc filled. The registration fee is S2W per team. The league is open to women 16 and older. Games will be played on Tuesday evenings at the Vernal Junior High School beginning Jan. 6. team will play si games during the season. Ifie deadline for participants 12 and older to register for the Uintah Recreation Ski Program is Jan. 3, 2003 or until all available spots are filled. The four trips to Sundance Ski Resort will be Jan. 1, Jan. 25, Feb. 8 and March I. The registration fee for all four trips is $ I SO or $200 if the participant wants to take Rentals are also available. Ski rentals are $40 and snowboard rentals are $00, Buses leave each Saturday from the Vernal Middle School at 5:30 a m and return to the school approximately 7 pm. Marlene l.ake will instruct begin1 les-vn- s. ning through advanced students how to use the pottery wheel and do sculpting techniques. The class will be held in the pottery studio at Uintah High School. The registration fee for the class is $35 per participant; this includes one bag of clay. The registration deadline is Jan. 2 or until the class is full. Space is limited mi don't wait to register. Participants must be 6 or older to register. Registration is also being taken 1 for the 2003 winter Oil and Water Color Painting class that will begin Jan. 15. The class will be held on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for si weeks. David Ahmsbrak will instruct students, beginning through advanced, with techniques in oil or water color painting. Participants will each work on a project of their own choice during the six week class and will receive individualized instruction. The class will be held at Discovery Ulementary. Vernal rodeo family honored The Raymond Alberta Museum now has a permanent exhibit honoring a rodeo family as one of the great pioneer families of Canadian rodeo. This special honor came to the family of the late John W B. Bascom during the 100th year celebration of the Raymond Stampede Canada's first and oldest rodeo. With 85 years of professional rodeo participation under the family's hat, some 150 members of the traveled to Bascom family the to Alberta accept Raymond, title of Rodeo Family of the Year.
