Whitney Groo, superintendent of the state highway patrol for several years, received his notice this week, notifying him of the end of hts services after Sept. 15. In hts letter to Mr. Groo the governor said: "I am working on a' reorganization of the highway patrol, and am certain that there will be no place in the new set-u- p for you. For that reason I am herewith giving you notice that your services will be terminated as of October I, and that your active direction of the patrol will end on next Monday, September 15." "In order that you might be put to no unnecessary disadvantage by this action, no publicity of this letter will be made by this office so that yon might have an opportunity to submit youK resignation as of October 1 to me if you desire." Mr. Groo said he had no comment to make on the letter, but was not submitting his resignation, thus allowing the dismissal to stand. At the same time Staff Sergeant K. L.
