It seemed at one time that the project would be held up indefinitely because funds were not available to buy cast iron pipe to put in a drain under the State highway. While in the Hawaiian Mission he labored on the Islands of Mani, Kawai, Oahu Lauai and Hawaii. Last October he was called to preside over the East Maui District and as such labored until he was released to return home. Mark E. Kartchner, Jr. and M.rs. Elleh L, Kartchner, were called to serve as short term missionaries in November, 1935, and arrived in Honolulu, Oahu, early in December and were assigned to labor in the East Maui District, where, as Pres. Murphy said, the same condition would exist as at the organization of the church when the parents of the Prophet Joseph Smith were laboring under their son. A. presidency was voted on to arrange the baseball schedules. The Junior games, to start at 1:29 p. m., the Seniors at 3:30 and Girls Soft-ba- ll at 4:00 p.m. Each team to furnish an umpire for every game. The following schedule, which includes the teams competing, with the playing dates, is for all three events on the date and ptaces specified, and is only for the first seven weeks, which constitute the first half schedule.
