JUNIOR HIGH NEWS STAFF - Tigerettes Hold Sleighing Party One horse to twenty-fou- r girls. The horse must have been very tired when the Tigerette club got through with their sleigh-ridin- g party, Friday January 3. They had a hard time reaching their destination. Miss Jude didnt know what Making School Spirit Practical Since this is the beginning of another New Year why dont we, as members of one big concern, make a New ears to school activities. First lets all resolve to not break our resolutions. Second, we must spread good cheer Some mem by being courteous, cheerful, and alive with joy. about ill remarks make bers of our student bod thoughtlessly exto This tends dislike. some teacher or friend whom they a and become soon topic hale feelings between those concerned, for gossip. It only derives undesirable comment and that is not what it takes for a successful Student Body. If we students it was to fall off the sleigh, till she had tried it a dozen and two times. Frances Hunn gave the horse such a pull that he asked her to walk. Donna Scott had such an attractive hat on that she scared the horse, and the girls reached Mildred Neil-son- 's place, after two and a half hours. Old Dobin neighed at the thoughts of pulling the girls and chili back to the high school. Everyone had a good time. Basketball Schedule would set about cheerfully to complete our daily routine, our tasks would not be so burdensome and we would enjoy doing First them. Today, since we live in such a fastly changing world, our students believe that they must also change. We appreciate the fact they are so progressive but we ask of them to respect the rights of others when they are planning their debut. Courtesy is a far greater goal to reach than seeing which one can the best. At noons in the lower hall is a very good example. Our more prominent TnPTTiKere of rhorl the ring leaders. Dont you think it is unmanly to stand at one end of the hall, and carry on a conversation with your best friend who is in the other? Another of our great weaknesses is that of a "gang. Now they are very prevalent at Lincoln. Several of our huge fellows get in that necking mood, and strut up and down the halLwith their arms wound tightly around their friends neck. Often five and six abreast. Theres nothing for the weaker sex to do but stand by and wait until the parade is over. Not only are boys guilty of this but ve also find it prevalent among girls of our school. Disorderly conduct in the halls, should be one resolution for us all if we want a more ideal school. A resolution to take better care of school property should also be put into effect. Our Student Body Council room has become more of a conservatory than a rest room. Often Ive gone in there and it looked like a place of an untidy housekeeper.. Better care of our lavatories and class rooms should also be taken into consideration. We congratulate you on the progress you have made in the past years, but we still find room for improvement. Wouldnt you please join our campaign to make 1936 bigger and better. hog-cal- l Half-J- The Utah School Census of the Lincoln District for 1935 show that; There are residing in the Lincoln District 820 boj s, 775 girls, making a total of 1595 boys and girls who have reached the age of six, but have not reached the age of eighteen.
