Steel unit, announced today that Morrison-Knudse- n Company of Boise, Idaho, has been awarded the contract for g the large job at the coal site of the feature washing plant, principal of the improvement program. Allen & Garcia Company of Chicago is prime contractor for the cleaning plant, located on the Price River, near Wellington, in Carbon County. The earth moving includes not only preparatory work at the plant site, but also in conection with building of a railroad handling yard and construction of dams for a refuse disposal system and a clear water . earth-movin- 600-ton-an-ho- ur pond. The Lang Company of Salt Lake City previously was awarded a for , several hundred tons of specialty steels, including stainless and abrasion resistent to be used in steels and Cor-Tebins, chutes, and hoppers. The major steel erection, to b$ handled by American Bridge Division of U. S. Steel, is scheduled to start in September. Meanwhile, work is well under way on other phases of the improvement program construction of a new office building here at Dragerton and driving of a new 8,600-forock tunnel. The new cleaning plant, which will process all of the coal mined at U. S.
