This depicted tournament shooting and gave slow motion shots showing proper stance and anchor positions. It gave suggestions concerning layout of archery courses. It gave suggestions entertaining and informative. Our rabbit hunt scheduled for May 12th had to be canceled because of inclement weather conditions. As soon as the weather breaks there will be another rabbit hunt for women scheduled. Related to this will be a bear hunt to be in late June if possible. Wifhin the next two weeks animal targets vill be displayed on our target range to simulate real-;sas tipified by actual hunt-;n- g conditions. This situation is used to sharpen the bowmens aim and acquaint him with the difficulty of being able to stop small game. As of our last meeting there was a membership of 82 which displays the strong attitude and desire for this worthwhile sport Ve sincerely appreciate the splendid cooperation and support received from both communities and the industries of this area. Our next meeting will be at the Sunnyside housing office May 29th at 6:30 p. m. Another film will be shown at that time titled A Moose hunt with a Row. Carbon Pony League Opening games in the Pony League were played Sunday, five-tea- m May 19. Opening game between Utah Motor and Kaiser. Utah Motor won 7 to 5. Second game Geneva Coal and Price Elks. Geneva won 14 to 6. Book Cliff drew the bye. Mickey Arambula got the first home run. Bobby Fratto got the second homer. It wall be held from 1 :00 Oclock to 3:30, in the East Carbon Junior High Gym. The industrial art exhibit will include : woodwork, plastices, loathe, r ornamental iron, sheet metal and others. The Art class will exhibit: "art works, figurines, leather, copper tooling, model airplanes, and other craft work. The fashion show theme is The Wheel of Fashion. The girls will model articles of clothing made in Home Economics Class'. We would appreciate it very much if you would come and see all of thhese things done by the students and teachers. East Carbon won the second half league championship to automatically become the 1956-5- 7 Kaiser City league champions. The winners Of the first half play the winners of the second half for the championship. Howeverr in this case the Dragerton Cleaners team won both halvess to make them undisputed champions. Made for Alumni Banquet The 1957 Carbon High School and Carbon College Alumni banquet promises to be one of the best ever. The banquet will be unique inasmuch as it will be the last joint banquet for the College and High School alums. Elections will be held at the banquet for officers for both Carbon High and Carbon College. Also of special interest this year will be the retirement of Bess Jones, who will be honored at the banquet. The guest speaker will be Ed Harding, who is serving his third : term Jn the Colorado State House of Representatives. Robert Gordon, who set a state record for scoring while playing basketball at Carbon, will be master of ceremonies.
