AND MRS. VERNER STODDARD Another Christmas . c- In the spirit of humility, the American people should count their blessings, the greatest of which is 'freedom, as they think of the slavery and helplessness of hundreds of millions of individuals in other parts of the world. It is time to remember some of the things that make life worth The right to go to the church of our choice. The right to read any newspaper, magazine or book we choose. The right of choice in a free market The right to congregate with our relatives and 'friends,' without fear. Hie right to travel when and where we please over 3 million square miles of r country without asking anyones permission. And countless other rights too numerous to mention. Last but' not least ' we should be thankful for each Christmas day when the "children gather all around the Christmas tree with its pungent evergreen scent; the quiet and peacefulness of the outdoors compared with the rush of a business day; the sound of the church bells in the distance, and the voices of friends wishing a Merry Christmas. Christmas in the United States is a leavenlng Influence' that draws families and citizens closer together.
