Show THE DRAGERTON TRIBUNE Tuesday, July 3, 1956 Plenty of Jobs Six Million Native This years college graduate need not take off his cap and gown and timidly pound the sidewalks while job hunting, according to the editors of Changing Tinjes, the Kiplinger magazine. There are plenty of jobs. For every engineering graduate there are aii estimated 12 to 15 openings available; for every would-b- e teacher, eight to ten openings; for every business trainee, five to six openings; for every liberal arts graduate, three or four offers. Starting pay is up $20. to $25 a month over what it was last year, which was a record maker. Offers of $500 a month and more are reported. Those are for men. Girls are lucky to get much over $300 a month. Engineers hold the lead as far as pay is concerned. Oqe big Trout Eggs , mid-weste- rn university reports that neophyte engineers are being offered $347 to $527 a month. In the fields of business, sales and teaching, starting pay for business trainees is' from $325 tp $425 a month; teachers, $285 to $357 a month; government employes, $306 to $399 a month; accountants and salesmen, $352. Girl graduates will find it tougher, although salaries beginning at over $300 a month can be found in the sciences, statistics, libraries and editorial work. Few college graduates will go into business for themselves right away. Theywill get practical training first. Most will find the risks, the required capital and the hard work not worth the gamble. Graduates are emerging into a world in which technological achievement will be fantastic, living standards very high and leisure1 time abundant. The wise ones will start planning now to make the most of whats in store for them. 4-- H Page Seven Hsmess From Strawberry Directory More than six1 million native trout eggs were taken this spring from spawning fish held at the states two stations in Strawberry Valley, according to the Utah Department of Fish and Game. Native trout eggs from the Strawberry stations are processed at several of the state's 12 hatcheries, from which they are planted later as fry and fingerling in the program to perpetuate this game fish species in Utah.
