We anticipate a full week of activities this week and urge all members to attend and bring someone along. Thursday will be Training Union night; Friday, family night anc Saturday, youth night. half-wa- y College Scholarship FRESH A scholarship in coal mining for engineering study at the Uniof Utah is being offered versity again this year by the United States Fuel Company, it has been announced by G. R. Watkins, general manager. The scholarship covers a four-yea- r course leading to an engineering degree with payments at the rate of $500 per year and .totaling $2,000 over a four-yeperiod. It begins with the 1955 fall quarter at the University of Utah, .but the successful applicant has the option of taking the first two years at Carbon College. To the extent that circumstances permit, the scholarship recipient will be offered work during the summer vacations at the company's mine at Hiawatha. The scholarship is open to high school seniors graduating this spring and to high school grauates who have completed their schooling since January 1, 1954. Sons of company employees who rank favorably with other candidates will be given preference. f Kilcrease left Saturday Bryan for Salt Lake City where he will be a patient at the Shriners' hos pital for several weeks. Darlene Morris won the grand prize of fifty dollars at the Talent Show last Thursday evening in Price sponsored by the Kiwanis club. The Credit Union National Association is an independent, non profit organization working for the advancement of economic democracy through credit unions. It is entirely supported by the dues of its member credit unions through out North America. f) Notre Dame student body officers x who traveled to Dragerton to visit the East Carbon junior high last Friday included Pat Pic-c- o, Pat Lami, Gary Spadafora, Lynn Thomas and John Marchino. They were served a delicious luncheon and spent the day visiting the classrooms,. type of safe driving and walking of which they are capable, the Utah Safety Council stated today. While there were four traffic fatalities during the month, this record still showed an about-fac- e compared with the record of January and February. - The advent of better weather, with its improved driving and walking conditions, no doubt had considerable relation to the good March record. But regardless, it clearly demonstrated that a similar performance can be achieved during the coming month. ....
