Preston Summerhays Coach at U of Utah Appointment of Preston Summerhays, athletic coach at Cartoon High School; .Price, as assistant football coach at the University of Utah was approved Monday by (the Universitys Board of Regents. Summerhays will report at the U June 1. He will handle the freshman football team, taking over from Pete Caxlston. Madsen First Lady of Price For 1 952 Mrs. Charles Madsen was cho- sen First Lady of Price for 1951 by Beta Sigma Phi at the sororitys annual Mothers Day tea held May 8 at the Carbon College li- brary. The presentation speech was given by Mrs. Henry Rugged, and the title was a surprise to Mrs. Madsen. Mrs. Ruggeri stated in her speech her talents are many, her. accomplishments great and 'her contributions to the community too many .to mention. Mrs. Madsen is a talented author and director; a 'graduate of Brigham Young University and has taught school in Elsinore, Columbia, Wellington and Price, She has assisted her husband in rearing five of his daughters and has seven children of her own.
